If you ever read this...

I convinced myself today that I should finally launch that blog I've been thinking about for a while now. I want to write about technology and what it's doing to us. The professional stuff, yes, but also the harder questions underneath it.

Vibe coding my Ghost theme

I just watched a video from Dan Koe (great guy *Trump's voice*) urging me to start writing. That led me to re-open Substack after I had forgotten I still had it on my phone, looking for writing inspiration. Read a couple of very captivating stories and articles there and told myself, "Wow there are such good writers out there". I'm not anywhere near them. I mean, sometimes I struggle to articulate my thoughts the way I want. On top of that, I have this language mix-up in my head, thinking in English when I speak French (my native language) and vice versa, I'm pretty sure someone coined a term for it. Anyway, I've made peace with it.

I'm an avid learner who is very enthusiastic about topics and hobbies in the beginning then drops the ball 9 out of 10 times. When I decided to start a blog a couple of months back, to write down my thoughts about my multiple interests, I researched for hours. Finally, picked Ghost over Medium and Substack, deployed Ghost on my server (yes I'm a geek I don't do cloud versions lol), vibe coded the theme with Claude (it was fun) but never actually published it. I convinced myself today that I should finally launch that blog I've been thinking about for a while now. I want to write about technology and what it's doing to us. The professional stuff, yes, but also the harder questions underneath it. Will I ever become as good as the bloggers out there? I don't know, but the video motivated me to start NOW. So, now I'm writing this piece not knowing exactly where I'm going with this. This article was not planned, I'm writing as I think now. The good thing is it feels natural.

If you ever read this, it means I finally decided to take the step towards building my "writer" identity.

I'm Eloge, welcome to The Crossroads.
